⚠️ BY CAR BETWEEN POLAND AND NORWAY - REQUIREMENTS, TESTS, RULES, DATA FROM 1.07 ⚠️
In this post I will discuss the current rules for travelling by car between Poland and Norway and Norway and Poland, with rules in Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Norway. Data from 1.07.
⚠️ BY CAR BETWEEN POLAND AND NORWAY - RULES IN SELECTED COUNTRIES
Here we assume that you start your journey by private car from Poland and end in Norway; the rules for the opposite direction are listed below.
⏭ SWEDEN - you can travel by ferry. Regardless of the route, you must have a negative antigen, PCR or LAMP test. The test must have been taken (sample collected) within 72 hours before crossing the border. Children under 18 are exempt from the testing requirement. The test must be in a language understandable to a Swede - English or a Scandinavian language. Vaccination (14 days after full vaccination) and recovered status (up to 6 months from the date of a positive test) exempt you from the testing requirement (an EU certificate is required). Border checks on the Swedish border from Denmark and Poland are frequent.
⏭ GERMANY - transit is possible and no test is required. Border checks are sporadic. You must have some proof that Germany is not your final destination - for example, a tenancy agreement from Norway. An oral declaration will often also be sufficient.
⏭ DENMARK - transit is possible. You must have a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours before crossing the border or a PCR test taken within 72 hours before crossing the border (the sample collection time counts). Children under 15 are exempt from the testing requirement. People who are vaccinated (on the basis of an EU certificate) and recovered persons (on the basis of a positive PCR test result or other reliable documentation up to 8 months back) are exempt from testing.
⏭ NORWAY - if your journey was safe, you do not need a test. A safe journey means a journey without using a ferry (except the Poland->Sweden ferry), without using any other public transport, without overnight stays in red countries, and without contact with other people in red countries for longer than 15 minutes. It is enough to have an identity document at the border. Read the general article on the rules for entering Norway.

⏭ SWEDEN - transit is possible. Tests are not required at all. Border checks are sporadic.
⏭ GERMANY - transit is possible and no test is required. Border checks are sporadic. Here, an identity card or passport is enough to sufficiently prove that Germany is not your final destination.
⏭ POLAND - you do not need a negative test to enter. A test will also not be required on the ferry. A negative antigen or PCR test taken within 48 hours (result received - unlike in other countries) before crossing the border exempts you from quarantine. You can also be exempt from quarantine by taking a test 48 hours after crossing the border. Fully vaccinated people (14 days after full vaccination) and recovered persons are also exempt from quarantine - they do not need to take a test.
