When should you deregister?
Deregistering is necessary to inform the authorities that you no longer intend to live in Norway. You should do this when you are planning a permanent stay in another country. This way, Norway will know where to send any official correspondence and will know that you are no longer a resident.

- The address where any correspondence can be delivered to you abroad
What does the service include?
The service includes:
- Logging in to Skatteetaten.no
- Changing the correspondence address
- A telephone update with the next steps (information from the authority)
NOTE: The decision regarding deregistration is made by the authority in Norway. The service only includes acting as an intermediary between you and the authority.
