A1 certificate – for contributions only in Norway
If you live in another EEA country or Switzerland and work only in Norway, you can apply for confirmation that you are covered by Norwegian social security legislation and do not have to pay social security contributions in other countries.
If you work both in Norway and in one or more other countries, you must instead contact the social security institution in your country of residence.
1. Required documentation
To order the certificate, we need from you:
- your employment contract,
- proof of identity.
2. Waiting time
We complete the service within 2 working days of the order, while the time it takes to receive the certificate from NAV depends on the office – typically up to 6 months.
