Bank ID makes many activities in Norway easier. Provides access to official services with the required higher level of authorization - e.g. NAV. It also allows you to log in to your bank. Many institutions require BankID to e.g. sign a contract electronically.
What is Bank ID?
BankID is a digital citizen ID. This is a security that allows you to sign contracts digitally, receive confidential information from offices, as well as change more serious official data without the need to go to the office. Thanks to BankID, we will also submit an application to NAV or Skatteetaten.
It is something like an electronic ID card - it certifies our identity in a safe and authentic way.
