⚠️ CAR TRANSFER POLAND – NORWAY – REQUIREMENTS, TESTS RULES DATA FROM 1.07/XNUMX ⚠️

In this post I will discuss the current rules for traveling Poland-Norway and Norway-Poland by car with the rules in Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Norway. The data comes from 1.07/XNUMX.

⚠️ CAR TRANSFER POLAND – NORWAY – REGULATIONS OF SELECTED COUNTRIES
Here we assume that we start the journey in a private car from Poland and end in Norway, the regulations for the other way can be found below.
⏭ SWEDEN – you can take a ferry. Regardless of the route, you must have a negative antigen, PCR or LAMP test. The test must be performed (sample taken) 72 hours before crossing the border. Children under 18 are exempt from the test requirement. The test must be in a language that Swedes understand - English or Scandinavian. Vaccinations (after 14 days from full vaccination) and recovered status (up to 6 months from the date of a positive test) exempt you from the obligation to test (EU certificate needed). Checks on the Swedish border from Denmark and Poland are frequent.
⏭ GERMANY – transit is possible and does not require a test. Border controls are sporadic. You must have some proof that your destination is not Germany - e.g. a rental contract from Norway. An oral declaration will also often be sufficient.
⏭ DENMARK – transit is possible. You must have a negative antigen test 48 hours before crossing the border or PCR 72 hours before crossing the border (taking the sample counts). Children under 15 years of age are exempt from the test. Vaccinated people (based on an EU certificate) and recovered patients (based on a positive PCR test result or other reliable documentation up to 8 months ago) are exempt from the test.
⏭ NORWAY – if your trip was safe – you do not need to have a test. Safe travel is a journey without the use of a ferry (except for the Poland->Sweden ferry), without the use of other public transport, without staying overnight in a red NOC, and without contact with other people in a red NOC for longer than 15 minutes. All you need is an ID document at the border. Read the general article about the rules for entering Norway.

⏭ GERMANY – transit is possible and does not require a test. Border controls are sporadic. Here, an ID card or passport is enough to sufficiently prove that your destination is not Germany.
⏭ POLAND – you do not need to have a negative test to enter. The test will also not be required on the ferry. A negative antigen or PCR test performed 48 hours (receiving the result - unlike in other countries) before crossing the border exempts you from quarantine. You can also be released from quarantine by taking a test 48 hours after crossing the border. Fully vaccinated people (14 days after full vaccination) and recovered patients are also exempt from quarantine - they do not have to take the test.
