Ordering a tax card for your company

The service involves changing your tax card according to your guidelines. First of all, we rely on your projected earnings from full-time work and business activity.

Skatekort – when should it be changed?

Generally, there is no obligation to change the card assigned by the office. However, we should take into account that we will pay advance payments that are inadequate to our earnings if the card is incorrect. This means two possible scenarios:

1. The card is underestimated - tax advances are lower than the tax resulting from annual earnings - then we will have to pay this difference in the annual settlement, but we will receive more net from the employer
2. The card is overvalued - tax advances are higher than the tax resulting from annual earnings - then we will receive a refund in the annual settlement, but we will receive less net from the employer

Generally important rule:

Regardless of the amount of advance payments or the chosen tax card - we all pay the same taxes. If you earn as much as another person, you will ultimately pay the same taxes in the annual tax return, regardless of advance payments.

What do we need to perform the service?

To perform the service, we need from you:

• Altinn/Skatteetaten login details
• Information about the company's projected earnings for a given year
• Information about earnings from the company in the previous year (if available, we can also check it after logging in on the office's website)

• Telephone contact to perform the service
• Login at Skatteetaten.no
• Jointly determining the optimal tax card
• Actual change/order of a tax card at the office
• Information about waiting time and further procedure
• Help in case of problems with changing/ordering a tax card
